Oregon Insight: Clark County’s economy has been roaring

January 27,2020 | By Anna Marum
According to The Oregonian, "Clark County's economy has grown tremendously in the years since the Great Recession." Clark County is located in southwestern Washington, just north of Portland on I-5. Its county seat and largest city is Vancouver, Washington.

The article points to three indicators:
  • Sales grew at an annual rate of 8.8% from 2010 through 2018, outpacing Washington's statewide sales growth.
  • The county continues to attract new corporate headquarters (such as PeaceHealth and Banfield Pet Hospital) and see growth with existing local companies (such as ZoomInfo/DiscoverOrg, nLIGHT, HP and RealWear)
  • And Vancouver's new upscale waterfront development (pictured), with its condos, restaurants and wine bars is attracting visitors and residents alike.
